Lolita clothes are on the way!!!

Yay! I'm pretty f-ing geeked! I just got & paid for shipping for my items from the Bodyline G.O. I did about 2 weeks ago. It was rather quicker than I expected. I'm pretty stoked!

It prolly would've been here sooner but the G.O. Organizer *whose name escapes me @ the moment* had school catch up with her. So I assume I'll get them by Tues or Wed of next week. Roughly $200 for like 2 yukatas, a bag and a lucky pack which I believe has another dress, skirt, 2 pairs of sox which I sure won't fit my calves and.. an apron??

I'm a lil worried about some things fitting, I'm so in between sizes, it's a big of a fucking pain. But hopefully I can get back what I paid, espeically considering I'm not getting ANY damn hours @ BBW.

New mission, get a job, round 53. So after this I've got to finish the app for Wawa, hit up sears... I can prolly hit up Sears tonite, then do the wawa app and spend the next few days lookin for my passport so I can apply for the summer camp job. If anyone is reading this, WISH ME LUCK PLEASE?! I need fundage, bad.

Just sold my dress!

I don't know why, but I feel so accomplished today ;o) I sold my first dress, which is awesome, but upsetting as well. I'm saddened that it didn't fit, but I posted "almost" everything correctly, my pricing wasn't ridiculous and it was a super fast transaction. Some of the people on lj are better than seasoned ebay users ;o)

I wish I could take a trip to tokyo and put together some type of shopping service. I like shopping for people and dealing in EGL would be fairly profitable. I'm not thinkin of getting rich with it, but it's nice to think one could put some gas money in their pockets by surrounding themselves by pretty things ;o)

Oh well, a gal can dream right. Maybe if I get this purse business off the ground... maybe that's in my future.

political update

Just thought I'd post some previously posted stuffage for those who may beleive all of the media's "editing" tricks on Rev. Wright.

Posted on my myspace page on march 21th, 2008.

An expanded outlook on Pastor Wright
Current mood: hungry
Category: News and Politics

I just thought I’d share this lil morsel of an article from Huffingtonpost.com. It’s simply a broadening of what is really said before a news agency makes a sound bite out of something. Please watch the video that’s included, b/c otherwise u don’t get the full picture.

This footage includes Rev. Wright's original sermon as well as Ambassador Peck's speaking on foreign policy and video from Rev. Wright's church.

Meet The (White) Man Who Inspired Wright’s Controversial Sermon

March 21, 2008 02:00 PM

Meet the man who inspired Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s now famous tirade about America’s foreign policy inciting the terrorist attacks of September 11.

His name is Ambassador Edward Peck. And he is a retired, white, career U.S. diplomat who served 32-years in the U.S. Foreign Service and was chief of the U.S. mission to Iraq under Jimmy Carter -- hardly the black-rage image with which Wright has been stigmatized.

In fact, when Wright took the pulpit to give his post-9/11 address -- which has since become boiled down to a five second sound bite about "America’s chickens coming home to roost" -- he prefaced his remarks as a "faith footnote," an indication that he was deviating from his sermon.

"I heard Ambassador Peck on an interview yesterday," Wright declared. "He was on Fox News. This is a white man and he was upsetting the Fox News commentators to no end. He pointed out, a white man, an ambassador, that what Malcolm X said when he got silenced by Elijah Muhammad was in fact true: America’s chickens are coming home to roost."

Wright then went on to list more than a few U.S. foreign policy endeavors that, by the tone of his voice and manner of his expression, he viewed as more or less deplorable. This included, as has been demonstrated in the endless loop of clips from his sermon, bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki and nuking "far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon and we never batted an eye."

"Violence begets violence," Wright said, "hatred begets hatred, and terrorism begets terrorism."

And then he concluded by putting the comments on Peck’s shoulders: "A white ambassador said that ya'll, not a black militant, not a reverend who preaches about racism, an ambassador whose eyes are wide open and is trying to get us to wake up and move away from this dangerous precipice... the ambassador said that the people we have wounded don’t have the military capability we have, but they do have individuals who are willing to die and take thousands with them... let me stop my faith footnote right there."

So it seems that while Wright did believe American held some responsibility for 9/11, his views, which have been described as radically outside the political mainstream, were actually influenced by a career foreign policy official.

Who is Peck? The ambassador, who has offered controversial criticism of Israeli policy in the West Bank but also warned against the Iraq War, was lecturing on a cruise ship and was unavailable for comment. But officials at Peck’s former organization, the Council for the National Interest, a non-profit group that advocates reducing Israel’s influence on U.S. Middle East policy, offered descriptions of the man.

"Peck is very outspoken," said Eugene Bird, who now heads CNI. "He is also very good at making phrases that have a resonance with the American people. When he came off of that Fox News, a few days later he said they would never invite me back again."

And what, exactly, did Peck say in that Fox News interview that inspired Wright’s words?

Here are some quotes from an appearance the Ambassador made on the network on October 11, 2001, which may or may not have been the segment Wright was referring to. On the show, Peck said he thought it was illogical to tie Saddam Hussein to the terrorist attacks on 9/11, and that while the then-Iraqi leader had "some very sound and logical reasons not to like [the United States]," he and Osama bin Laden had no other ties.

From there, Peck went on to ascribe motives for what prompted the 9/11 attacks. "Stopping the economic embargo and bombings of Iraq," he said, "things to which Osama bin Laden has alluded as the kinds of things he doesn’t like. He doesn’t think it’s appropriate for the United States to be doing, from his perspective, all the terrible things that he sees us as having been doing, the same way Saddam Hussein feels. So from that perspective, they have a commonality of interests. But they also have a deeply divergent view of the role of Islam in government, which would be a problem."

Here here Sen. Kerry!

Way to go Sen. Kerry. Taking up for Sen. Obama after getting asked the same question 80 thousand other senators and representatives have been asked about this ridiculous Rev. Wright controversy.

It's only 2 min, enjoy!

IRON MAN

First of all, let me preface my following statement by saying that, I am by no means neccesary the end all be all of movie critics. I have loved movies that have tanked in the box office.

However, I know for a FACT, that this movie could possibly make Spider-man type cash. This movie being Iron Man.

Tony Starks is Robert Downy Jr. and vice versa. I knew from the moment they cast Downy jr. in this role that it would be magic on the screen. Anyone who knows Iron Man's history can see the correlations between fictional Tony Stark's ups and downs with Downy Jr.'s real life ups and downs. He aecerbic, witty, extremely handsome, has access to a lot of money as well as a lot of toys
and above all he's extremely intelligent.

There's just enough action here to satisfy adrenaline junkies. I mean, there's a freaking dog fight with two fighter jets! There's depth of character, you grow to not only to know him, you grow to love him. Even with his imperfections, which he realizes and accepts.

If you've read this far then all you really need to know is that
A. The movie is FREAKING AWESOME!.

B. Downy Jr. is FINE AS HELL! He buffed up for this role. And

C. It's an amazingly fun ride that everyone will enjoy and if you dont... Then your dead. ;oP

If you've never done anything for me before *and if u have, why stop now?* Please go and enjoy Iron Man. It's well worth the price of popcorn.

I hope they find her....

I hope someone reads this and helps in the search. :O(

21-year-old Skye Lynn Budnick, a student at Central Connecticut State University and member of the university's anime club, has disappeared after traveling to Japan on a one-way ticket that she bought without informing her family. She left the United States on April 1 and was last seen on April 7 at an inn in Noboribetsu, a city on Japan's northern island of Hokkaido. Budnick's family traveled to Hokkaido to search for her and have been working with the United States Embassy, the United States Consulate in Sapporo, and local police. However, her sister, Megan Budnick, returned home Friday without finding any additional information about the woman after her April 7 stay at the inn. The sisters' mother, Susan Budnick, remains in Japan to continue the search.

According to the Record-Journal newspaper of Meridien, Connecticut, Budnick left her home in the nearby town of Southington with only her laptop and about US$800 in cash. Several days after she disappeared, her family logged into her email account and found her travel itinerary and a suicide note that she composed, but did not send. Budnick's friends and relatives mentioned that she had been an anime fan since middle school, and that she was generally quiet and did not have many friends. She had recently failed several classes, and reportedly, only remained in school to be allowed to participate in the activities of the anime club.

The United States Consulate in Sapporo has asked that people with more information on Budnick's whereabouts to call (011) 641-1115 (from overseas, call 81-11-641-1115).

Writer's Block: Such a Chore

What's your least favorite chore?

I hate, HATE doing dishes. I hate it. I can't explain it any other way. I'll clean a house from top to bottom, I'll clean a floor with a toothbrush, knock the bats outta the belfry on my own *scared of bats by the by* if all of that will allow me to never wash another dish in my life.

I don't know when it got started but it's been inside of me for forever i guess. I'd be washing dishes and mom's or bro will walk in and put another dish or fork or cup into the dishwater i'm using and that would just set me the hell off! I have a process when I wash, so if u've lived with me all my life and u know i have a process when I wash dishes, WHY WOULD U MESS WITH THAT PROCESS!!

Hell just thinking about dishes makes me mad. But anwyays, i'm babbling. I hate washing dishes and if i could eat on paper plates for the rest of my life I would. I'd rather use recylced paper for plates then waste the water washing dishes.

goth loli!!!

OK! So today while browsing the interwebs I found the most amazing ebay seller in the WORLD. And I can now offically purchase my very first egl skirt ;o) EEEEKKK! God I almost started hyperventalating when I looked at the prices!

Most skirts were 29 bucks! And the s/h is 18 bucks flat rate, so if I buy like 3 at a time i should be good. All I need now is a few pettie coats and I'm SOOO THERE!

gawd.. i'm all jittery just thinking about it. And I get my tax refund in about a week so I know it's already spent. *half bills, half skirts* I'm finally going after something i hav ALWAYS wanted to do/be/wear. And now that I've started browsing LJ more often, i'm finding tons of new comms in the area. Maybe when it gets warmer I can do some meet ups with ppl in the area. Hopefully I'll find one in Philly b/c it'd be nice to keep it local at first.

*le sigh*

Things are starting to turn around for me... atleast fashionably ;o) Now off to find a milkshake!

It's 08

And it's a new year with familar feelings. Kris, my boobi is going off to college in florida and I'm going to miss him terribly. John is getting closer with Nat, which is cute *and annoying* but soon he'll be gone off to Cali for his intership and it'll just be me and Cliff. I don't know how that'll work out b/c I'm sure he'll get sick of me sooner than laterz.

I've found a lot of information on egl/japanese street scene as of late which is pretty awesome b/c I never knew how to find it before. I still can't afford to wear it, or know of any places I could wear it to.... People stare at me enough when I'm out and about, imagine me in decora going grocery shopping. ;o) Actually that is a pleasant thought, tee hee.

I've recently picked up the Ebay bug, since I have a lot of crap that I need to get rid of around the house. Not to mention that I need some extra income. The job sux as is, and it's not getting better so I might as well do something on the side to help put gas in the tank. Maybe I can start selling here on LJ. I've noticed ppl doing that and it seems to work out for them. The only question being, do I have anything anyone wants to buy?
